In the Summer Term 2009, a wonderful new Sports Hall was opened by the European and World Champion Gymnast, Beth Tweddle; she generously spent the day coaching the girls, before officially opening the Sports Hall in the afternoon.
Although it appears to be a single storey building from the outside, the Sports Hall is reached by stairs leading down to its entrance door – and it is very impressive. It provides a large indoor space with room for a netball and tennis court, which means that lessons and matches can take place inside if the weather is bad. It is very well provided with equipment for gymnastics. A viewing gallery at the upper level is open for parents and visitors during matches.
