In Lower School we develop a love of learning, which is well established by the time the girls move on from the Foundation Stage at Stormont School in Reception. As they move in to Form 1, we continue to follow our Lower School ‘Golden Rules’, encouraging the girls to be responsible, respectful and successful citizens.
Child-centred learning – the social, emotional and intellectual development of the whole child – is at the heart of everything we do at Stormont. The girls benefit from lessons with their form teachers and dedicated teaching assistants, who work together to form a strong bond with the children, gaining a clear understanding of each girl’s abilities and interests.
In addition, specialist subject teachers provide their expertise in Drama, French, Music, PE and Art and Design.
A day in the Lower School is always busy, varied and full of fun. The girls fully enjoy the diverse curriculum and challenges, draining each day dry!
