In Key Stage One we build on the love of learning so well established throughout the Foundation Stage and at Stormont School in Reception. We continue to follow our Lower School ‘Golden Rules’, encouraging our girls to be responsible, respectful and successful citizens.
The children benefit from lessons with their form teachers and teaching assistants who work together to form a strong bond with the girls, gaining a clear understanding of each child’s abilities and interests. Child-centred learning – the social, emotional and intellectual development of the whole child – is at the heart of everything we do at Stormont.
In addition, specialist subject teachers provide their expertise in Drama, French, Music, PE and Art and Design.
A day in Key Stage One is always busy, varied and full of fun. The girls fully enjoy the diverse curriculum and challenges, draining each day dry!
