Our Chef Manager leads our catering team. All our meals are nutritious, prepared and cooked on the premises in our newly fitted kitchen by our experienced and knowledgeable staff, who very soon get to know the girls.
At morning break the Pre-Prep girls are offered water, milk or sugar-free squash to drink and a plain biscuit, they can also bring in a small healthy snack in a sealed container of fresh fruit, dried fruit or vegetable to eat at this time. In Prep the girls can bring in a similar healthy snack in a sealed container.
Every girl should bring in a recyclable bottle of water only with a secure top which can be replenished during the day.
We cater for all dietary requirements including allergies. We work closely with parents to ensure that each child is catered for. At lunch there is always a hot and cold choice of either meat or fish, a vegetarian choice and the girls can select accompaniments from the vegetables and salad bar where there is a wide variety. The girls are encouraged to try new and different foods from the daily menu and the addition of soup on a daily basis with interesting ingredients and homemade bread has been a huge success.
Fresh fruit, yoghurt or a pudding are also available as choices every day often including the girls’ favorites.
Staff eat with the girls in the dining room at their respective meal times to give that added social interaction as do the Year 6 girls who sit with Years 3 to 5 on their tables.
