The Year 6 French trip to Rue was filled with memorable experiences and opportunities to develop both language skills and independence. The girls visited a goat farm, where they learned about the process of making goat’s cheese, and enjoyed a hands-on bread-making workshop in a traditional boulangerie. They put their French language skills into practice by ordering food and drinks in cafés and buying postcards to send home, gaining confidence in real-life situations. A visit to the beach provided time for fun and relaxation, rounding off a wonderful trip. It was superb to see the girls fully embrace French culture, challenge themselves linguistically, and create lasting memories with their friends. A truly enriching and enjoyable trip for all involved.
