A seamless transition for Stormont families

Stormont girls whose academic performance meets St Albans High School for Girls (STAHS) Senior’s entry criteria are offered places without needing to sit the Year 7 entrance assessment.

In the heart of St Albans, STAHS Senior blends academic excellence with a nurturing ethos, empowering girls through its Teach to 25 philosophy to become confident, resilient and future‑ready young women. A long‑established destination for Stormont leavers, with 28 alumnae currently thriving at the School, several of whom have been awarded scholarships.

1. A streamlined process

Year 5 Stormont pupils are automatically registered*. No application or registration fee required.

2. Assessment-free entry

Performance at Stormont is considered against STAHS 11+ entry criteria.

Stormont pupils do not need to sit an entrance exam or attend an interview.

3. Offer of a place

Qualifying students receive an offer in the Spring Term of Year 5.
