About Us

What makes a Stormont girl?  A happy, confident child who is well prepared for the next step in her educational journey.   On her final day with us, she will have learned the pillars of being a strong, curious and kind young person with the support of a loving community of peers and teachers here at Stormont.

Stormont School is a Prep School in Herts with a unique approach to learning and a curriculum that values all subjects including music, PE and art.  A positive reinforcement of respect and consideration for others and themselves and for the environment is paramount.  We promote activity and healthy eating and staff are alert to the girls’ social and emotional health as well as their physical wellbeing.  Discussions with the girls regularly take place about managing their relationships well whilst retaining a positive sense of self worth and ambition.  Encouraging spiritual, moral, social and cultural themes are ever-present through assemblies, PSHE lessons and across the wider curriculum and through our co-curricular programme.

Stormont School prides itself on providing outstanding pastoral care and fostering a place where your daughter will be happy, successful and thrive across the curriculum.   Close home/school links begin even before your daughter starts and continues throughout her time here.

As one of the best private schools in Hertfordshire for primary education, located in Potters Bar, we aim to recognise and reward every girl for her efforts as well as achievements.    We nurture her confidence, encourage her to do her best and lay the foundations now for her future education at some of the top schools in Hertfordshire.

Come and visit soon, we would love to show you round this prominent outstanding school.

Your video clip for the verbal reasoning lesson this week, which was excellent, was really clear and easy to follow, in fact I learnt something new myself!
