Arrange to Visit
Arrange a visit for a personal tour with the Head or Deputy who will be more than happy to show you round on a normal school day to get a real feel for what Stormont can offer your daughter.
There are also Open Mornings at different times in the year to which you will be warmly invited to attend. Contact Mrs Kendle in Admissions for details by completing the contact form here or call the School Office on 01707 654037.
Complete the registration form here and pay the £50 non-refundable registration fee which can be paid online, details of which are on the registration form. Your daughter’s name will be placed on the Entry List or Waiting List depending on availability. The maximum number of pupils in each class is twenty-four. There are exceptional circumstances when an increase in a class number is considered but is rare.
As a non-selective school, Stormont will offer a place to those first twenty-four names on the Entry List for a new Reception class. We will then go to the Waiting List as spaces become available.
Once you have received your offer letter both parents should complete and sign the Acceptance Form and pay the £1000 acceptance fee by the date issued. Of this amount £500 is a deposit towards the first term’s fees and the remaining £500 will be refunded in your child’s final term at Stormont less any monies owed to the school. Fees are issued termly and should be paid by the first day of the new term.
A full term’s notice is required if parents subsequently withdraw their acceptance of a Reception place. On withdrawal, £500 will be refunded and a further £400 will be returned once that vacated space has been filled. £100 is retained for administration purposes. As set out above we encourage visits by appointment for a private tour or at one of our Open Mornings. We require a registration form and registration fee to be paid as set out above. Registering for occasional spaces is an expression of interest only and does not guarantee an offer of a place. A meeting with the Head must first take place, at that point your child may be invited to spend a taster day at Stormont and take part in informal assessments to ensure that entry to Stormont School is the right decision for her. School reports will be requested and a reference from her current school will be required. Once satisfied an offer letter will be issued and the procedure will be followed for Acceptance as mentioned above.
