Pupil Voice
At Stormont we value the voices of our pupils and believe that every girl should feel heard, respected and empowered. Pupil Voice is an important part of our school community, giving our girls the opportunity to share their ideas, express their opinions and contribute to school life in a meaningful way.
We believe that when the girls are given the chance to share their thoughts, they develop important skills such as communication, leadership, and teamwork. Pupil voice allows the girls to play a role in shaping their school community while learning to listen to and respect the views of others. This creates an inclusive and supportive school environment where the girls feel valued and inspired to make a difference.
There are many ways the girls can express their voice at Stormont. School council meetings are held every two weeks, where representative girls from Years 3-6 meet with the Headteacher to discuss ideas and present feedback from their class. Suggestion boxes are placed around the school for girls to use and class discussions take place in form times on a regular basis.
